In the Wilderness

Your blood is my best dress

Your smile is my best defence

Your shadow is where I sing.

it's where I sing.

in my best dress.

Your Hope is my favorite escape

Your Peace is my favorite friend

Your Joy is why I sing

it's why I sing.

I learned Hope in the wilderness

wore my best dress in the wilderness

You were enough in the wilderness

You were my rock in the wilderness

were my bread in the wilderness

You were enough

You are enough

I learned Hope in the wilderness.

 Fly

You said I would fly
but I've only crawled
except when I fly
to You.

You said I would fly
but I've only stumbled
except when I fly
in You.

You said I would fly
but I've only fallen
except when I fly

for You.

The Wik Inside

Pour

I saw the liquid of the fire

Pour

and it connected,

connecting

like electricity on a wave

to the wik inside.

the wik inside

Heaven to the wik inside.

pour Your Heaven

to the wik inside.

Connecting,

connecting to

the wik inside.

the wik inside.

Silver Boots

silver boots

silver boots, touch the roots

oh touch the roots, unto my

silver boots.

reach up to my thigh

roots, reach up high

oh, I've touched the roots

with my silver boots.

now touch my thigh

sky, touch my thigh

roots, come up through

my silver boots.

my hands are high

held by the roots

stretched up through the roots

touched by my silver boots.

my hands touch the sky

of Your eye,

Your eye upon the roots

Your eye, upon this thirst

in the ground,

this thirst of the roots

I've touched with my silver

boots.

I've touched Your hunger

with my thirst

I've touched Your hunger

with my thirst

I've touched Your hunger

with my thirst

from the roots, up, up, up

through my silver boots

my silver boots

my silver boots

have touched the roots.

My Tower

Look at my tower

it's leaning.

It looks like I've failed,

my life is leaning

like the Tower of Pisa.

But look at my tower,

it's leaning on You.

My God,

You hold me,

and You hold my tower.

when it seems like

it's falling.

when it seems like

I'm falling.

Look at my tower.

it's leaning

on You.

Come in, Outside

open, open it

open, open it, to me

to us,

who are waiting for You

to open, open us

make it green.

make it green.

open it, open spring.

open, open it,

open spring.

make it green.

swinging on it too.

swinging on it too.

green.

the green of spring.

swinging on it.

open door. open doors.

open that door to green.

It's green.

it's outside.

open, open to it

open, open to it.

open, it's open, outside

open, come in outside

come in.

 Diamond into Dust

like a diamond into dust

like us

like an arrow into mist

I must

watch the ice break

feel the ice fall

and become nothing

and become everything
become the future

There is no other place for my heart

but below, the river

vaste and empty

full and hungry

for our soul

the watery grave

like tears from the flames

like a falling star

SPEAK OF THIS

And that night, the wild soul was rushing
waves, rolling out of the secret places
where nobody goes, but the wind

Many things stood timeless in stillness
of moment that was too deep to see
except to swim in, with a naked eye

And I, let the wild soul, sing her crashing
over rocks and through beds of clay,
where Love lay
weeping
and now, singing
songs of pain

Perhaps again.

Unless a  poet comes

to speak of this
and to set me free...
